On 23-24 April 2019, Philippe Vlaemminck took part in Legal & Tax Seminar in Abidjan, Ivory Coast organized by the Loterie Nationale de Côte d’Ivoire (LONACI) and the African Lotteries Association (ALA) with cooperation with World Lottery Association (WLA). Several delegations of international experts from Europe, including Belgium, Liberia, Guinea, Burkina Faso and Senegal made the trip. They gathered together for this high-level seminar to exchange their knowledge on best regulatory practices, and reflect on the need to adapt the law on games of chance to the new context.

Philippe Vlaemminck, partner at pharumlegal, tackled the question on how to create a modern framework to regulate the lottery and gaming market. The key takeaways include:
