Female athlete Eline Berings is a true example of perseverance and dedication. Not only is she a world-class sprinter, but she also earned a Master’s degree in Psychology while maintaining a demanding training schedule. Eline competes in the 100 m hurdles and has earned two European titles and a variety of Belgian titles, as well as participating in the Olympic Games in London and placing in the finals of numerous international competitions. Recently, while training for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, she suffered a severe knee injury that required surgery and will prevent her from competing in Rio. It was a devastating blow, but Eline is determined to come back. She believes in herself, and at Pharumlegal, we do too. We agreed to sponsor Eline prior to her accident, and we will stand beside her and work on her comeback—together.

At Pharumlegal, we support diversity and gender equality. As an EU law firm with extensive experience in sports, gaming and gambling, we are passionate about sports and strongly support the EU sports model. Philippe Vlaemminck, managing partner of Pharumlegal, has been the president of a major athletics club in Ghent, Belgium for over 10 years and is an active member of Panathlon, an international association promoting good governance and ethics in sports.

By sponsoring Eline Berings, we reaffirm our strong commitment to supporting women in sports and our admiration for their values and courage. We are proud to support a world-class sportswoman like Eline at a time when she needs it the most, and are determined to help her make a strong comeback.
