Philippe Vlaemminck has more than 30 years of experience as a specialist in both EU law (Regulatory and Litigation) and trade law (WTO and anti-dumping). Philippe has considerable litigation experience before the CJEU and the EFTA court (a total of more than 93 cases) and was among the first private lawyers who were granted the right to appear in a WTO dispute settlement hearing (EU-bananas – AB).
Marc has more than 30 years of experience in Belgian, EU and competition law in the context of merger control, notifications, antitrust, complaints, investigation, state aids and regulatory matters. Marc also advises clients on negotiating and drafting international commercial agreements (distribution, agency, franchising) and represents them in litigation matters including arbitration related to the execution or termination of such agreements. He has a strong expertise in selective distribution for luxury goods companies ensuring their compliance with antitrust rules.
Robbe Verbeke is specialised in gaming and lotteries law. He has acquired extensive experience in the Belgian as well as European regulatory framework for all things gambling in his legal practice. In addition, Robbe advises on general commercial law and has in this capacity gained particular insight into the interconnection between regulatory requirements and commercial law.
Ms Beata Guzik is director of EU Public Affairs. During the last 5 years she gained a unique and professional experience as a member of EU Regulatory Team of a full service Belgian law firm. She was involved and has spoken at diverse conferences around Europe on social media, lotteries & social gaming, energy, Digital Single Market, food law and sharing economy.
Mathilde joined Pharumlegal in April 2020. She is involved in single market law including competition law and regulatory issues. Prior to joining Pharumlegal, she worked at the Delegation of the French Bar Associations (Délégation des Barreaux de France à Bruxelles). Mathilde gained experience in distribution and consumer law during her traineeship for the French Bar as well as during her internship at the Centre for Consumer Protection Europe in Kehl (Germany).
Arno joined Pharumlegal In October 2019. He works on both Belgian and EU law, focusing in particular on the regulatory aspects of the Digital Single Market. Prior to joining Pharumlegal, he gained experience during internships at Pharumlegal.
Arno is interested in digital single market law and broadened his interest at the Bruges College of Europe into international trade law and EU competition law. He is currently doing his 3 year Dutch bar internship.
Louis is the secretary at Pharumlegal. He is in direct contact with our customers on a daily basis and is responsible for making certain that any and all proceedings at the office run smoothly and efficiently.
Guy van Habberney has been the Economic Adviser at the US Embassy in Brussels (US State Department) for more than 30 years. He has an in-depth knowledge of US politics and business, and an exceptional economic & political transatlantic network. He uses his strong expertise in Brussels and Washington on economic and political affairs to assist European as well as US companies to develop their business on both continents.
He is also an International Master in Correspondence chess (ICCF).
