On 29 May, the European Parliament will vote on the revision of the posting of workers directive. The new rules introduce the principle of “equal pay for equal work”, ensuring that all workers are treated the same way across the EU. The same working conditions and wages will apply to both local and posted workers who are temporarily sent to another member state. After 18 months, all of the host country’s labour rules woud apply to posted workers.
